Creatary is a revolutionary concept and nothing similar is available in most parts of the world. So we know there would be a ton of questions popping in your head. Do take a look at the FAQ below which should answer a lot of your queries and if not then feel free to post it on our developer forums
.
Is this Creatary thing another app store?
Creatary is not an app store though we can work together with any app store. Creatary exposes telecom assets such as SMS, location, charging, etc via easy-to-use web based APIs so that you as developers might enhance your code using these APIs. Your apps can continue to be stored on whichever server you would like.
So this means you guys want us to make our apps work for operators right! Ha, that's a joke! With the revenue shares that telecoms offer, we would be lucky if we could make any money at all!
Please take a look at our revenue shares page for the latest up to date revenue shares that you can currently get from Indosat in Indonesia. You will see that Indosat is offering extremely aggressive revenue shares that you are not used to getting from the very same operators up until this point! We have been very clear right from the get go that Creatary wants to be the glue that allows Operators and Developers to work together in a transparent manner and the first step in making this happen was to convince the operators to give you developers a better revenue share.
Its all good to talk about transparency, but how could you have possibly implemented anything towards that end?
The Creatary platform offers a separate view to developers, operators and end-users. Developers can at any time log in and see how many downloads of their app have taken place and based on that and other pricing that they have allocated for various facets of their apps, what are the revenues accrued to them. The up-to-date figures are available to you, the developers at all times for your convenience. How's that for transparency!
Alright then, how much do I need to pay to get on the platform and start using these APIs?
There are absolutely no upfront costs involved here. Signing up is completely free! Also, as of now the use of all our APIs and the use of the telecom assets is free. Going forward you would need to buy the telecom assets of a particular provider based on the pricing allocated by them. You would be able to view these prices online and purchase the APIs that you need for the operators that you need in a format very similar to that of shopping from an online store. Creatary as well as Nokia Siemens Networks will keep up its endeavors to deliver the most reasonable and aggressive pricing possible so that developers can put forth a competitive pricing towards the end user for their apps, after all, only when you guys make money do we make money!
Yet another platform! Now why in the world should we learn the intricacies of yet another platform?
Guys, Nokia Siemens Networks has not just relationships but strong working relationships with 600+ operators in 150+ countries! The few operators that we have tied up with now is just the beginning. When we really start to scale, you will feel the raw power as we enable you to take your apps from country to country across the globe with minimal changes in your code!
Alright then, how do I get started?
For the moment we are allowing developers on our platform by invitation only so you need to write to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to request an invitation code and our Developer Manager will get in touch with you.

Of what great use is the location API anyways? Don't you already get location via GPS on all Smartphones?
Yes you sure do but its one hell of a drain on the battery life of the device. Further, the overwhelming majority of phones are not even Smartphones and will not be for a while. Our location API actually offers you location information for ALL phones!!
